Performance Paint & Auto Body just west of Baltic is under construction to expand the building.
The business, co-owned by brothers Lance Warne and Chad Warne, does collision-related vehicle painting and refinishing.
“We do a little bit of everything,” Lance Warne said. “Little door dings to major crash damage.”
The brothers both run the business and do all of the vehicle repairs and painting. Right now, they do not have any employees, but that could change. Business has been going well, they say.
“We want to have more room and also maybe add one more employee eventually,” Lance Warne said.
The addition first will be used for storage, and by next spring, the brothers hope to open up the space for more cars to be worked on.
“We’re almost doubling our square footage,” Chad Warne said.
The original building is 3,800 square feet. The new part will add 2,800 more.
Construction began at the end of May. Since then it’s been smooth going until the recent rains slowed down the process, Lance Warne said. Rain slowed it down a couple of days.
The brothers opened the shop in 2000.
